Jo & Mike

As with most custom designed invitations, there is
always a lot of trial and error before finding the right combination.  So can you imagine my complete surprise when I managed to get it right on my very first try?  I designed these invitations for my daughter, Jo and her fiance, Mike, for their wedding in September. And they were a hit right from the start.  As always, there were some minor adjustments but for the most part, once and done.

Invitations play such a pivital role in any wedding. First, they set the tone for the entire event.  Secondly, I wish everyone could witness a couple seeing their invitations for the first time.  Generally some pretty strong emotions as it's the first step in realizing that "this is really going to happen".  I hope I never lose the sense of wonder in watching my couples open their invitations.

Courtney & Chad

It would be very hard to select a favorite from all of the invitations that I have designed over the years.  This one, however, will always be in the top five.  I wish I had pictures to show the original design compared to the final product.  The first design started with barn doors that opened.  The bride's mother loved the barn doors.  The bride really wanted me to use their engagement picture and the groom loved the idea of a pocket.  I needed to incorporate all three requests and here is the final result:
a barn door pocket that is holding the invitation. Just remove the invitation from the pocket and underneath is their engagement picture. This invitation was an instant success.
